The Dallas Cowboys running back told reporters that he played this season with a partially torn PCL.

He said he won't need surgery during the summer.

The Cowboys considered giving the three-time Pro Bowler some time off to see if it would help him get closer to full strength, but he didn't feel it was necessary, according to Ed Werder.

"It's football," he said. You get hurt. You are not going to be 100 percent. I'm tough. Play through it.

The Ohio State product was effective despite the injury, as he racked up 1,289 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdown across 17 appearances in the regular season.

The Cowboys were able to keep their offensive skill players healthy throughout the season, so they were not in a position where they had to turn to Tony Pollard at times.
