Trump calls the Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt a 'disgrace' and claims the FBI was behind the insurrection

The Capitol Police officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt during the January 6 riot at the US Capitol was called a disgrace by former President Donald Trump.
In the first rally of the year in Florence, Arizona, Trump claimed that Democrats wanted to protect the officer who was cleared of wrongdoing in the killing.

They wanted to keep him because they wanted to protect him. He couldn't get on television fast enough. The guy shot Ashli.
The officer was called a "disgrace" by Trump.

He's proud of himself. Let's see if he could do without the protections. "If that happened the other way around they would be calling for the electric chair to be brought back," Trump said.
In August, months after the insurrection, Lt. Michael Byrd revealed his identity in an interview with NBC News.
The night before the attack, Babbitt said "nothing will stop us". They can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours," was shot while trying to climb through a shattered window in front of the Speaker's Lobby.

Trump went on to say that the "real insurrection" happened on Election Day and that the FBI was behind the riot.
They don't talk about that crowd. They talk about the people who walked to the Capitol. They don't talk about the size of the crowd. I believe it was the largest crowd I've ever spoken to, and they were there to protest the election.
The fake news never talks about it. They don't talk about it. The number of FBI confidential informants, agents, or otherwise directly or indirectly with an agency of the United States government, was exactly how many were present at the Capitol complex on January 6. People want to hear this.
