The Cincinnati Bengals have won a playoff game.

The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 26-19 in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The victors won a playoff game for the first time in twenty years.

The Raiders have not won a playoff game since the 2002 season, despite a solid showing from Carr.

Las Vegas had a chance to force overtime in the final two minutes, but Carr's fourth-down throw near Cincinnati's end zone was picked off.

Notable player statistics.

Joe Burrow was 24-of-34 passing for 244 yards and 2 touchdown.
Ja'Marr Chase had 9 catches for 116 yards.
C.J. Uzomah had 6 catches for 64 yards.
Carr was 29-of-54 passing for 310 yards and 1 touchdown.
Jones had 5 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Josh Jacobs had 13 carries for 83 yards and 4 catches for 44 yards.

The Fast Start is Enough for the Bengalers.

These are the moments when the Bengal's selected Burrow with the top pick of the 2020 draft.

He looked like he was prepared for the challenge when he targeted Chase down the field on Cincinnati's opening drive. It was a statement for the young quarterback in his first playoff game after he announced himself as one of the best in the league during his second season.

While the Bengals failed to completely put the game away early by opting for field goals with short fields after a turnover and a mistake from Las Vegas, Burrow continued to excel by fitting throws through tight windows and evading pressure with his legs.

His second touchdown pass came as he scrambled to the right and threw to Tyler Boyd in the back of the end zone, but he stepped out of bounds on a play that featured an unsportsmanlike conduct call.

The defense of Las Vegas rebounded in the third quarter and kept the Cincinnati offense out of the end zone. After Daniel Carlson's third field goal cut the lead to seven, it put Burrow under the microscope for the fourth quarter.

The home team once again had to settle for a field goal after the third-down conversion and strike to the wide receiver. If one of Evan McPherson's four field goals turned into a touchdown, there would be no doubt.

The offense will need to convert more of its chances in the later rounds, because it was enough for Cincinnati to advance.

Missed chances and mistakes cost the Raiders.

Few teams entered the playoffs with more confidence than the Raiders.

Las Vegas won its final four games to make the playoffs after it looked like it was going to miss the playoffs. The first half was defined by missed opportunities and self-inflicted mistakes as visitors fell behind by double digits.

Carr's turnover on the strip-sack and a 3-and-out by the Bengal's after a kick return set them up for a short field.

The Raiders had a number of promising drives and field goals, but they failed to score on any of them, and appeared to be on their way to a big loss when Carr threw a touchdown pass to Jones. It was the first time in the game that the crowd had apprehension, and it was the first time that the halftime deficit had been cut to 20-13.

When Josh Jacobs found success between the tackles with injuries to Hendrickson and Larry Ogunjobi along Cincinnati's defensive front, the Raiders continued to undercut their own comeback efforts by settling for field goals instead of touchdown throughout the game.

Las Vegas had a lot of opportunities, especially in the second half, when it was held out of the end zone, and it created another one when Carr found DeSean Jackson for a key fourth-down conversion. Even though the drive ended in a field goal, the offenses continued to mirror each other with field goals.

It was only fitting that the game ended on a missed opportunity for the Raiders, as Carr's final throw was picked off outside the end zone.
What's next?

If the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills win their games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Pats, the Cincinnati Bengals will play the top-seeded TennesseeTitans.
