Trump rally in Arizona: Kari Lake vows no COVID-19 mandates, calls out migrants, Biden

Several Republican candidates will take the stage at Donald Trump's first rally in Florence in 2022.

Trump's appearance Saturday will be his second in the state since leaving office and underscores his continued importance in GOP circles nearly one year after leaving the White House.

The Republic reporters will be covering the Trump rally.

Past coverage by the Republicans.

Democrats are pushing to undermine the 2020 election.

An Arizona election audit timeline is how we got here.

The Arizona election review said the results were meaningless.

Democrats issue statement on Trump rally.

Before Donald Trump spoke in Florence, a statement was released by the Democratic National Committee.

The Republican Party has surrendered to Donald Trump's control and embraced him no matter the cost to our democracy or Americans' lives.

"Tonight's rally will serve as little more than a reminder of the chaos and extremism of today's Republican Party, and why 81 million Americans rejected Donald Trump in 2020 to elected President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats who have led the fastest economic recovery in history, delivered a

7 p.m.: Biden calls out migrants.

The theme of some of the other speakers was praising America under Trump and listing its problems under Biden, and that's what Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake began her speech with. She slammed the 2020 election asrotten to the core, as did others.

She promised to close every single loophole that allows them to cheat.

She said that people are no longer willing to put up with the mandates.

Lake claimed that she was up 30 points or more in polls of voters, and that she would not impose any mandates or restrictions.

She called out people who didn't have papers. When I become governor, you will be arrested and sent back across the border.

It is unclear how she would do that without federal cooperation, but her comments echoed those at a news conference on border security on Tuesday by state lawmakers and Ken Cuccinelli, a former U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services official under Trump.

Lake told Biden that he did not need his permission to defend the state.

She said she would finish building the border wall in Arizona. It's time to build that wall!

Members of Congress cheer for Trump and boo others.

The news media was booed by the crowd. Crowd members may have been Republicans, but they were firmly committed to one man, Donald Trump, and the idea that Biden stole the election from him.

The politicians who warmed up the crowd were the ones who hammered home the points. The crowd was told to get ready for the next elections by the members of the U.S. House.

Can you see the storm building? Gosar asked.

Anthony Kern, a former state representative who is running for state Senate, yelled, "Trump!" while he was in Washington. Trump! The helicopter carrying the former president descended to the festival grounds shortly after 6 p.m. Mr. President, welcome to Arizona!

The document that was sent to Congress with a false avowal was signed by Kern and 10 other Arizonans.

The 11 people were listed on the general election ballot as being willing to vote for Trump.

Trump had lost Arizona. The election results were certified by the governor. The only electors who mattered were those who would cast their votes for Biden and Harris.

The document the Republicans signed was obtained from the National Archives.

It said that the Electors for President and Vice President of the United States of America were from the State of Arizona.

Kern said the real criminals were the ones who stole the election.

Wendy Rogers is running for Arizona secretary of state.

Donald Trump is with us today. Rogers said that the election was stolen.

They attacked Donald Trump because he exposed them. "Finchem said that."

Richard Ruelas and Ray Stern.

State senators are still claiming election fraud.

The crowd was told to stay committed to the election denial conspiracy.

The belief in widespread election fraud that stole the presidency from Trump in 2020 was a conspiracy theory, according to Borrelli. He said there was a conspiracy, but that it was not a theory.

He said the problem was obstructionists who were in charge of elections.

30 current and former Arizona lawmakers signed a resolution asking for the 2020 election to be handed to Trump or for the election certification to be delayed. Borrelli said that many of his peers in the Arizona House and Senate were behind him and that they were going to tighten up the loopholes that these commie have exploited.

The crowd cheered as Borrelli claimed that the media were hiding facts like "ghost voters" and that they voted in Pima County in 2020. There were no widespread problems with the election in Pima County.

Dozens or more of the crowd raised their hands when asked how many of them had volunteered for the 2020 election. She told them that the state Attorney General is investigating the findings from the Senate-led audit.

What do we want? Indictments! When do we want them? Now!

She referred to enemies who are scheming to steal elections.

She said that they want indictments of the election workers so that they don't continue to do this.

Traffic jams delay Trump fans outside venue.

The traffic was backed up for more than an hour outside of Country Thunder. The line to the front gate snaked back and forth as people waited in a dirt parking lot.

Bobby and his wife waited for more than three hours to get into the arena. He didn't mind at all.

He couldn't wait to see Trump because he loved the energy of the crowd. He hopes Trump will tell Biden to get the hell out.

Spending time with people who feel the same way.

The two Arizona social workers said concern for their clients was their biggest reason for attending the rally. The people who need government services are at risk because of the economy.

Lofgren said she works for the State of Arizona in the Disability Division. Many people have left their jobs at the state and we can't provide services for them.

The agency has a large amount of workers who are struggling to get to them.

Her friend nodded in agreement. Wilson works for the Department of Child Safety and said the same issues plague her office.

Donald Trump held a rally in Florence on January 15, 2022.

The country's economic situation has taken a personal toll on the women.

Lofgren said he was getting to the age of retirement. I can't move forward with my dreams because of this administration.

Lofgren said she abandoned her plans to build a home in Mississippi a year ago because of rising costs.

She said there was no way she could build a house.

Both women want to support Donald Trump.

Wilson has attended several Trump rallies.

She said that she can be with a lot of people who feel the same way.

Who won the election? Ward asked. The crowd is of Trump.

Many people in the crowd seemed to believe that Trump won the election. The results of the audit authorized by the Arizona Senate did not deter crowd members from their belief, despite a year of investigation and numerous courts throwing out lawsuits.

The chair of the Arizona Republican Party made that clear. She began her speech by asking the crowd who won the election.

The former President Donald Trump's Save America rally was held in Florence, Arizona.

The crowd roared.

Ward urged people to go out and vote to address concerns of many Republicans.

Ward claimed that cheating happened in 2016 but that they overwhelmed their cheating program.

Get rid of it! She yelled to get rid of the boxes. Integrity should be restored to our election.

Many of the people in the crowd wore costumes and shirts supporting Republican candidates for office such as the governor of Arizona or the US Senate contender Jim Lamon.

The crowd included many young people and senior citizens. Food trucks, a mix of country and classic rock, long lines for portable toilets, and a stage with bleachers for celebrities were part of the festival atmosphere.

The belief that Trump actually won the election was a strong theme.

Tamera Rayl of Tucson, who was hanging out on a blanket with family members, said she believes Biden won through fraud and hopes Arizona lawmakers get rid of the machines used in elections and go back to paper ballots that would be hand-counted.

She believes that like minded Republicans will still show up at the polls despite the fact that the election system is broken.

Many in the crowd insulted President Joe Biden with a veiled insult.

Crowd gathers for speeches.

Thousands of spectators began to gather at the Country Thunder festival grounds on Saturday afternoon, with traffic backups on State Route 79. The gates opened at 2 pm. There were more than a dozen ATVs lined up just before the entrance, waving flags and cheering the people lined up in their cars. A protester waved a sign with the United States code on it while standing across from a Mercedes sedan.

Trump takes a shot at Gov.

Trump took another shot at the governor hours before his appearance in Florence.

Trump said that there were rumors that Doug Ducey, the weak RINO Governor from Arizona, was being pushed by Old CrowMitch McConnell to run for the U.S. Senate. He will not have my support or endorsement.

The question of whether he will run for the GOP nomination to challenge Mark Kelly in the fall is a topic that he bristles at.

Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell, R-Ky., and other high-ranking Republicans in Washington, D.C., are encouraging establishment Republicans like Ducey to run.

When he said he was not running for the seat, he said he was the governor. When asked what his future would be after his last year as governor, he said he was focused on leading the state and running the Republican Governors Association.

The Arizona Republic quoted the governor as saying that his plate was full. When I have focused on the work on my desk and done it with excellence, other opportunities have presented themselves.

C.J. Karamargin said that Ducey had no plans to attend the rally.
