The first AP No. 1 team in college basketball history to lose two home games in a week was the Bears.

The Bears had won a national-best 21 games in a row before their loss to Texas Tech. The Oklahoma State team was playing their third Big 12 road game in five days while the reigning national and Big 12 champion led for only 16 seconds.

The Bears were down by 17 points in the second half, but were able to get back in the game when Cryer made two free throws. They didn't score again.

Bears senior Matthew Mayer said that the coaches were not very happy.

We were in a big hole. Cryer, who had 18 points, said that if the hole wasn't that big, they would have been able to win the game. I felt like that had nothing to do with the loss.

The Cowboys guard scored six points in the last minute. He made two free throws with 26 seconds left after Bears guard Adam Flagler lost the ball out of bounds on a drive to the basket. Thompson made two more free throws and a steal before dunking after the Bears missed their last shot.

The Cowboys lost to West Virginia by 10 points on Tuesday and then lost to Texas Tech by 78 points after the Red Raiders had just beaten the Bears.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton said that the week had been "one heck of a week." "For those guys to show resilience and determination to play with the amount of energy that was required." We lose the game if we play with less energy.

The only time Oklahoma State trailed was after Brown's basket made it 4-3. The Bears missed 10 shots in a row before Cryer's 3-pointer.

Oklahoma State followed that with another 12-2 run and had their biggest lead at 29-11 when Isaac Likekele made a short floater off the glass. There was only one possession in that stretch, when Rondel Walker stole the ball and passed to Keylan Boone for a layup, but there was no whistle.

Since the last three games of the regular season and the Big 12 tournament opener, the Bears have lost two in a row. The Bears had not lost back-to-back games at home since the end of the 2016 season.

The Bears shot a season-low 31% from the field. Their 22 points before halftime were their lowest in a half this season, and the 57 points overall were also a season-low.
