Trump says he will 'never' endorse Republican Doug Ducey if the Arizona governor jumps into the state's 2022 Senate race

Donald Trump mocked Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona on Friday and promised to oppose him in the GOP primary if he ran against Mark Kelly.

Trump is incensed with Ducey for refusing to overturn Biden's victory in Arizona during the 2020 presidential election, and he will be in the state on Saturday for a rally.

The former president said that there were rumors that Doug Ducey, the weak RINO Governor from Arizona, was being pushed by Old CrowMitch McConnell to run for the U.S. Senate. He will not have my support or endorsement.

In January of last year, he told The New York Times that he was not planning on running for Senate.

I'm not running for the Senate. He told the newspaper that it was a no. I'm focused on being the governor of Arizona.

The chair of the Republican Governors Association and his duties as Arizona's governor were the focus of the energy of the man at the time.

A recent report by Politico suggested that the governor was considering entering the race, which would shake up the primary contest, which has largely centered on the candidates' fealty to Trump's election claims.
If he entered the primary, he would have until the April 4 filing deadline to get the required signatures. A source from the governor's office told Politico that a potential entry by the governor would likely happen by the end of February.

The candidates in the GOP primary include the state Attorney General, the Arizona Corporation Commissioner, the solar power executive, and the retired Arizona National Guard adjutant general.

Last year, Arizona Mirror reported that a pro-Masters super PAC slammed Brnovich for dismissing Trump's claims about the state's election tally.

President Trump is wrong about voter fraud, says Mark Brnovich. Really? Biden was certified as president by a grand jury that failed to convene. He's nowhere to be found, making excuses, instead of standing with our president.

In November 2020, just days after the election, the state's Attorney General, Mark Brnovich, rejected the notion that Arizona elections were not fair, since the party kept their state legislative majorities.

There was a prediction that the Legislature would flip in Arizona. He said on Fox Business that it didn't.

Most Arizona officials have long contended that there was no electoral malfeasance at the local level, but Trump has continued to push the claim that the vote was tainting, notably in the state's most populous jurisdiction and one that voted for Biden after decades of backing GOP presidential nominees.

Biden's victory over Trump was confirmed by an election audit. In the 2020 election, Biden became the first Democratic presidential nominee since Bill Clinton in 1996 to win Arizona's 11 electoral votes, edging out Trump by 10,457 votes.

When the governor certified the 2020 results, they soured on each other, even though they supported Trump's campaign.

When it came to the election, the governor told The Times that he followed the Constitution.

The job after Nov. 3 is to count the votes, tabulate the number, audit the vote and make sure it's accurate. The vote was certified by all 15 Arizona counties. I swore to uphold the law and the Constitution. He said that he did his duty.

He said that the people who have been misinforming Arizonans are wrong and should be held accountable.
