Anthony Martial is a Manchester United player.

Anthony Martial did not play in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, according to Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

Martial wants to leave United this month.

Sevilla are interested in the France forward but have been unable to match his wages or offer a loan fee.

Martial has not started a game since October 2nd and has not played since December 2nd.

He hasn't been selected for recent squad.

With injuries and Covid absences, he only had six outfield replacements for the game at Villa Park, and Martial was asked if he wanted to be involved. The answer was not positive.

He didn't want to be in the squad.

He would have been in the squad but he didn't want to and that's why he didn't travel with us yesterday.

Martial has scored 56 goals for United. The club's refusal to sanction his sale in the summer of last year triggered a downturn in relations with Jose Mourinho that eventually led to his departure from the club.

The forward signed a new contract in January of 2019.
