The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get to the Super Bowl, but they may not have a defensive coach next season.

The former Atlanta Falcons head coach is the favorite to be the next head coach of the Denver Broncos, according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

He will be the candidate to beat for that opening, according to a CBS Sports report.

The Broncos might have competition from the Cowboys if they lose to the 49ers in the playoffs.

When the Seattle Seahawks went to two straight Super Bowls and won one, they had a defensive coach named Danroy.

He was the head coach of the Falcons from 2015 until he was fired in 2020. He reached the playoffs in two of his six years at the helm.

Atlanta's best season was in 2016 when it advanced to the Super Bowl but lost to New England.

The Cowboys were able to lead the team to an NFC East title with the return of coach Quinn. The defense featured stars such as Trevon Diggs and finished seventh in the league in points allowed per game.

The Broncos missed the playoffs for the sixth straight year and are looking to turn things around.

It is surprising to see them look at another defensive coach since Fangio was a defensive coach before he became the head coach.

Fangio didn't have a track record of success as a head coach, but he did have a track record of success as a quarterback, and that's why he accepted the Broncos job.
