The Bulls said that LaVine was out for the rest of the game with a left knee injury. That is the same knee where LaVine tore hisACL in February of last year. He was out of action for 11 months before he came back.

As long as LaVine is out, freshman Ayo Dosunmu should see a boost in minutes. The No. 38 overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft is looking like a second-round steal, as he has averaged 6.3 points on an efficient 51.7 percent shooting clip through his first 36 contests.

Even with quality backup guards behind him, losing LaVine for any amount of time hurts. He's been an important part of the Bulls' success as they look for their first NBA Finals appearance since 1998.
