The estranged wife of indicted leader of Oath Keepers tells CNN he is a 'dangerous man' and 'complete sociopath'

The estranged wife of Stewart Rhodes, the leader of the Oath Keepers group, said he is a complete sociopath.

The wife of Rhodes made the comments in an interview with CNN on Friday, a day after her husband was charged with seditious conspiracy in connection to the Capitol riot.

It's the most significant arrest yet and marks the first time that federal prosecutors have brought sedition charges in connection to the Justice Department's lengthy investigation into the deadly January 6, 2021, Capitol siege.

Adams was relieved to hear that he was indicted, as she was afraid of him showing up at her house.

She said that she didn't know that her children's school didn't have to worry.

Adams told John Berman that she felt that Rhodes was dangerous to her and her family.

He is very dangerous. Adams said on CNN that he lives in his own head.

He sees himself as a great leader. He almost has his own mythology of himself and I think he almost made it come true, seeing himself as a figure in history.

He's a complete liar. She said that he doesn't feel sympathy for anyone around him.

The divorce of Adams and Rhodes has been going on for three years.

In April of last year, Adams set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for their divorce.

"Though I can't talk about the details of my marriage here, I can tell you that it was likely about exactly what you're imagining, but probably quite a bit weirder," Adams wrote on the GoFundMe page.

She wrote that divorcing her husband was difficult as he was a leader in their private army.

The Oath Keepers were founded in 2019. Active and former military and law enforcement officers are recruited by the far-right group to defend the US Constitution.

His arrest on Thursday was the first time that federal prosecutors brought sedition charges in connection to the events of January 6.

According to The Washington Post, Rhodes said he was at the Capitol but did not enter.

Adams told CNN that she believed her husband was behind the Capitol attack, and that she had been talking to the House select committee.

She said that she believed that Rhodes was trying to avoid being implicated in the case.

She said she saw his fingerprints all over it.

Adams and Rhodes married in 1994 and have six children together.
