Josh Allen has toes.

Keeping his feet comfortable is a priority for the Buffalo Bills quarterback.

Allen said that he didn't know why he got bad circulation in his feet. My toes get really cold and they go numb a little bit, so keeping those suckers as warm and dry as possible.

The Bills will play the New England Pats in the wild-card round on Saturday in cold weather. The low is expected to be 2 degrees with wind gusts of 13 mph. It could feel like minus 6 degrees. It will be the third meeting between the Bills and the Pats in 41 days, the shortest span to play a single opponent in Bills history.

There will be a lot of fans there. The Bills will have a home playoff game for the first time since 1996 with full attendance allowed. Buffalo hosted two playoff games last season, but had limited capacity due to COVID-19.

Josh Allen has a completion percentage of over 50% in games played in cold weather.

The weather is not ideal for Allen, as the Bills have a 12-3 record in home playoff games, tied with the Seattle Seahawks for second-best among teams to play at least 10 playoff games at home.

The quarterback has completed less than 50% of his passes in his past two home games. In five career starts with freezing game-time temperatures, Allen has thrown six touchdown to seven interceptions and a 50.3% completion percentage. Over the past 15 years, 41 quarterbacks have made at least five such starts, and that's second-lowest among them. Allen was sacked in three of those games.

It's not fun catching hard passes in the cold. It's a little more tiring when you get off the ground. It's more of a mental barrier than it is a physical one, so I'm trying to get used to it.

The Bills have gone 3-2 in Allen's five games in freezing temperatures, with two of them being victories over the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.

In the past three games, Allen has not been sacked. They have been able to run the ball with running backs as of late, which will be needed against a New England defense that has allowed the second-lowest completion percentage behind the Bills.

During the course of the week, Buffalo has used cold footballs, turned off the heat, and opened the doors of the stadium to practice inside. There is no way to replicate single-digit temperatures.

Enjoy it. Jerry Hughes said it was going to be cold on Saturday. It's going to feel warm with Bills Mafia in that stadium.
