If You Think Joe Rogan Is Credible, This Bizarre Clip of Him Yelling at a Scientist Will Probably Change Your Mind

Joe Rogan is once again in the news for being an anti-science dimwit, and even a quick look at his past statements shows that this isn't the first time.

Hundreds of medical experts signed an open letter condemning Rogan and the streaming company for spreading misinformation on his show since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Rogan has insisted on inviting problematic guests on his show and spouting his own vile rhetoric long before 2020, the year he inked a deal with Spotify worth more than $100 million.

Rogan is seen as a well-intentioned hippie who is too invested in the concept of free speech to recognize that many of his guests hold dangerous ideas.

A recent clip of Rogan losing it on a primatologist about a decade ago throws water on that theory, in the same way scientific facts tend to quash the misguided nonsense he and his guests often spout on the show.

Rogan took a call from a Florida primatologist who identified herself only, after spending roughly five minutes going off about a now-debunked pseudoscientific theory of the "Bondo ape."

She countered that there is no such thing as a Bondo ape, but before she could finish her sentence, the host was jumping down her throat and telling the PhD scientist that she should look it up. We are not making this up.

The Bondo ape theory was discredited in the early 2000s when scientists discovered that the ape actually belonged to the common Chimpanzee. The credibility of the Bondo ape is somewhere between Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

The primatologist fought hard in the face of Rogan's mockery and he suggested that she was behind the times.

Rogan continued to make fun of her after the primatologist was disconnected, including mocking her for having a vagina, which should give anyone listening to his show pause.

It is not clear when this clip aired, but it is likely from around the time when Rogan was gaining popularity with his show.

Excusing ridiculous beliefs in the interest of hearing both sides is nothing new.

Joe Rogan's fans are making fun of him for being a moron.

Joe Rogan said that he was not a doctor and that he was a F*cking Moron.
