After the 76ers beat the Celtics to win for the ninth time in 11 games, star center Joel Embiid said there was no need to change anything.

After finishing with 25 points, 13 rebound and 6 assists in Philadelphia's comfortable win over its old rivals here at Wells Fargo Center, he said, "I feel great, man."

We are 21 and 9 when most of the team is in the lineup. That is not bad. That's the best record in the NBA. All that tells me is that we need to stay healthy and do what we've been doing.

I don't think we've played our best basketball yet. We have a long way to go. We're missing some guys that could help us. There is no need to change anything. I think we have everything we need. We're going to keep going and I'm happy.

Ben Simmons has been sitting out for the entire season as his trade demand goes unfulfilled. Philadelphia has won 70% of its games when it has had Embiid on the court.

Simmons refused to report to the start of training camp in September, and that's when the 76ers began to wonder if Simmons would be traded.

He admitted that it would require the 76ers to play near-perfect basketball to win with the players they have available to them.

"I think so," he said. I think we all need to be our best. I think we can beat anyone when we are at our best. We've seen it a couple of times. I think we need to keep doing what I've been doing and then we need consistency from everyone, not just Danny or Harris or Maxey or Curry.

"We need consistency, and everybody coming in every single night with the goal of just doing their job and chipping in defensively and just playing together and we'll be fine."

Philadelphia jumped on the Celtics with a 28-2 run in the first quarter and never looked back in a win over Boston.

After a three-game winning streak, Boston fell back to earth. With Marcus Smart out due to the health and safety protocols, the Celtics got nothing from Dennis Schroder, who missed all six shots he took in 25 minutes and was called for a foul for pushing a 76ers forward in the back on a dunk attempt.

While he initially stayed in the game, he later left with shoulder pain. He had five steals and two blocks for the 76ers, who created 20 turnovers and scored 31 points off them.

"This was a tough night for me, I had as many turnovers as field goals and made as many field goals as field goals," said Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, who finished with 20 points, 11 rebound and 5 assists. I don't think we had any nights like this where we started slow.

"For whatever reason, it was one of those nights where we started slow and never recovered."

The 76ers bounced back from their loss to the Hornets with an emphatic performance, snapping their seven-game winning streak. Charlotte's ball movement gave the 76ers a lot of trouble, whereas Boston's more isolation-heavy offense was easier to guard.

It's easier to guard if you compare, you know, the other night. They move the ball very well. They made a lot of jump shots. Boston is more of a iso team. It's easier to load up and try to stop them.
