James Gunn's Peacemaker HBO Max Opening Title Sequence Rules

James has a love for pop music. The song choices in both of his films set them apart from the rest. His new show Peacemaker is irreverent, funny, and continues with that.

The opening credits of both the films have music, but the one by James Gunn is the best. The anti-hero first seen in The Suicide Squad is played by John Cena in Peacemaker. After betraying his team, Peacemaker now must enter an uncertain world and get on with his life, but not before this incredible opening title sequence, which is without the offensive "Skip Intro" button that comes up on Max. How dare anyone not do this?

There is a song called "Do You Want to Taste It?" It has a very distinct 1980s rock vibe, but it is actually from a 2010 album. Thank you James for the recommendation.

This scene is so amazing because of the song and the direction of the cast. The people doing the ridiculous dance are giving zero emotion about it. Nothing. You have these blank faces wildly flailing their arms around in unison as a band from Norway talks about tasting it, as more and more cast members join in the fun. It is breathtakingly stupid, awesome, and perfect.

The first three episodes of Peacemaker are now on HBO Max. He wants to make more seasons, but he has to make the third one before that can happen.
