Philippe Coutinho available for Aston Villa to play Man Utd, but Steven Gerrard won't rush new signing

Steven Gerrard won't rush his new signing, but he is available for the Saturday Night Football game between Manchester United and Aston Villa.

The Barcelona loanee is likely to be on the bench for Saturday's game against Manchester United, as he has moved to Villa Park until the end of the season.

Lucas Digne is available for the game, live on Sky Sports, after he became Villa's second signing of the window.

They're available. Philippe has trained for three days without any issues. We have to match his fitness and sharpness.

The second signing of the January transfer window was Lucas Digne.

Lucas is a little different. He's been involved in group training for a long time and he was available for the team before he arrived.

"They're both available for selection with the group and they're both in a good place but, obviously, decisions will come off the back of information we've had of both players over the last couple of days."

The 29-year-old is arriving at Villa from a difficult time at Barcelona, but according to Steven Gerrard, they are lucky to have him.

"He is a fantastic talent, we are lucky to have him and at the right time he will be unleashed," said Gerrard. His name alone makes people want to play the game. I'm pretty sure we will see the real Philippe Coutinho in time.

I don't think he had the best time at Barcelona. A kid who won the league at Barcelona and the trophy at the European Championship is here.

He wants to play. If we can get him to feel good and confident again, Phil Coutinho is still there.

Hause has a new deal?

Kortney Hause is the first player to open talks with the club over a new deal.

Both are out of contract in the summer, with Villa holding an option on Hause, and Gerrard is eager to keep both.

He said that Kortney is different to Ashley and that they have begun speaking to him. We want to keep him around because we know how important he is to us. He wants to play more, but talks are still going on.

He broke his toe recently, but he has been a leader and standard-setter in the group. We haven't gotten the ball rolling yet, but we will keep talking to Ash.

We're happy with him. I'm sure we'll have a discussion about that soon.

Sky Sports will show the Manchester United vs Aston Villa game on Saturday.

Buendia and Coutinho can play together.

Emi Buendia has hit form in recent weeks but now faces competition from Philippe Coutinho.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the Argentine talks about how the pair could play together, life under Steven Gerrard, his current form and his dream of playing alongside Lionel Messi at the World Cup.

Jack Grealish is on February 4, 2015.

One of Jack Grealish's favourite players to watch was Philippe Coutinho. "He always has that one, where he goes left and drops a little shimmy, which is what I like doing myself." The journey has come full circle.

While Grealish was able to earn a £100m move to Manchester City, Coutinho was able to replace him at Villa. It will be an ideal signing if the Brazilian can repeat the form that took him to Barcelona.

The best moments of the season for Philippe Coutinho.

There are similarities between the two players. Grealish praised the ability of Coutinho to go past players who aren't there and that is what Villa loved about their former captain. They missed out on the player who can make things happen.

Is Grealish still idolising the Coutinho? His career has been drifting at Barcelona since he left the team, but there is time for him to regain his best form. If Grealish is inspired by being the main man at Villa Park, there is fun to be had.
