Since his redshirt freshman season, Linderbaum has been an anchor on the offensive line for the Hawkeyes. He started 13 games at center that year.

He was a first team All-Big Ten selection in 2020 and was a Rimington Trophy finalist. He started all eight games that season and became one of the best centers in the country.

He was named an All-American on the offensive line and won the Rimington Trophy, which is given to the best offensive line.

The third-best offensive lineman is projected to be Linderbaum, who is a first-round pick.
