The Daily Show's Jordan Klepper was reporting on the day of the attack on the U.S. Capitol for the show. Klepper and his crew were harassed by the rioters, one of whom tripped up Klepper's camera operator.
He came back on Jan. 6. Klepper spoke to people holding a "vigil" for the insurrectionists currently in prison, interviewed more of the same angry protestors he usually speaks to, and tracked down Gaetz, who is currently being investigated for sex trafficking.
"Hey Matt Gaetz, if you are going to re-enact the events of January 6th, who is going to take a shit in the rotunda?" asks Klepper, referencing the feces the Trump supporters reportedly smeared on the Capitol walls. Who will make the gallows?
Klepper is moved aside by security, but before Gaetz has time to get into a waiting car he has to ask, "Is this a little bit childish, Matt, or is that what attracts you to this?"
Gaetz doesn't reply.
