The CEO of the company has announced that the company now allows customers to buy select items using Dogecoin. Products that can be bought with the meme-basedcryptocurrencies include the Cyberquad for Kids, the Giga Texas Belt Buckle and the Cyberwhistle. Dogecoin was up 16 percent to around $0.20 following the news.
Musk said on December 14th that the company would see how it goes with the payment option. It is not clear if or when the company will accept payment for its vehicles in Dogecoin.

The S3XY Mug is available for 150 doge from the UK store of theTesla store. As of this writing, Dogecoin appears to be the only way to buy certain items, as their regular payment icons have disappeared.
Just a few months afterTesla started accepting Bitcoin for car purchases, they stopped the practice due to concerns about the use of fossil fuels for mining. Musk said that he believes that currency has a promising future, but it cannot come at great cost to the environment.

In October, Musk told CNBC that he talked to many people on the production lines at both companies. They are not financial experts or Silicon Valley technologists. I decided to support Doge because it felt like the people's coin.
In May of this year, the company started accepting payment in Dogecoin, and next year it will send a satellite to the moon.
