The USC wide receiver has entered the football transfer portal before.
The USC football player was arrested in July on suspicion of violating California Penal Code Section 273.5(a) which covers domestic violence toward a spouse or other cohabitant, and he did not play a snap this season. He was released on a $50,000 bond.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's office declined to file criminal charges against him. USC did not allow him to participate in team activities last season, despite conducting its own Title IX investigation.
In six games as a freshman in 2020, McCoy caught 21 passes for 236 yards and two touchdown.
The top-ranked athlete in his recruiting class, McCoy, joined USC early in the spring of 2019.
USC hired Kliff Kingsbury as their offensive coordinator shortly after he left the NFL, and that's when he transferred to Texas. He transferred back to USC in June after participating in spring practices there.
