According to the Oregonian's Mike Rogoway, Nike has told some employees that they will be fired if they don't get their COVID-19 vaccinations.

The company has a vaccine mandate that employees have until January 15 to either get a vaccine or receive a medical or religious exemption. Last week, Nike sent emails to employees who did not meet the standards.

You failed to complete the verification process and our records show that you do not have an approved exemption. Your employment is scheduled to be terminated on January 15, 2022, because you are not in compliance with the Policy.

The situation might have changed after Thursday's ruling by the US Supreme Court, which blocked vaccine and testing mandates for big businesses.

According to Statista, Nike employed over 73,000 people in the year 2011. 120 employees have objected to the company's mandate through online communications.

VF Corp, the parent company of Vans and Supreme, is expected to take a similar stance with its employees.
