What world does Roethlisberger think this was a good quote? I can see what he meant. He might have been trying to instill an underestimation in his squad. He might have been trying to get his teammates to think about how they can't win, so they will give it all they have. Roethlisberger leaves it up to interpretation with the way he says his answer.
He leads off his answer by saying that he hasn't talked to his team about the mentality he's trying to instill. This was the first time any of his teammates heard anything like this. The team was just four days away from their Wild-Card meeting with the Chiefs and this is the first thing Roethlisberger says about the game? That is just...bad, really bad.
The fans of the Steelers are yelling through their screens, "Well, obviously he didn't mean it how you're taking it, idiot!" If you have to rush to the comments section of the video and defend your quarterback by making sure everyone knows it is sarcasm, that is not a good look.
