Chris Kiffin, Lane Kiffin's younger brother, will join the Ole Miss staff as a co-defensive coordinator.

Chris Kiffin and Chris Partridge will be the co-coordinators of the defense. The Rebels have had a member of the staff named Partridge for the past two seasons.

D.J. Durkin, who called the plays for the defense the past two seasons, left earlier this month to become the defensive coach at Texas A&M.

Chris Kiffin was the defensive line coach. Chris and Lane Kiffin worked together at Florida Atlantic and USC, where Chris was a defensive administrative assistant.

Chris Kiffin was at Ole Miss before. He was on Hugh Freeze's staff for a while.

The first report of Kiffin's return to Ole Miss was on RebelGrove.com.

The Rebels have hired Marquel Blackwell from Houston to be their running backs coach and Nick Savage from Florida to be their strength and conditioning coach.

Kiffin hired Charlie Weis Jr. to be an offensive assistant. Jeff Lebby left to take the Oklahoma offensive coordinator job.

Kiffin's second season in Oxford was a success. It was the first 10-win regular season in school history.
