Armando Broja: Southampton want to sign on-loan Chelsea striker permanently but face competition

There are other clubs that are interested in signing Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old joined Saints on a season-long loan last summer and has scored five goals in 15 appearances.

Should the Albanian's recent performances lead to offers from other clubs, the Saints will compete with them to sign him.

Interested clubs are already inquiring about how much it would cost to buy him this month, as well as whether or not he has a long-term future at the club.

There is interest in Broja as a number of clubs look to sign a new forward in January.

The risk was taken by the Saints in giving the academy graduate a chance at first-team football.

He graduated from the academy of Chelsea.

He had only made one senior appearance for the Blues, yet he has thrived in the environment at St Mary's and the young team put together by Hasenhuttl.

There is potential interest from other clubs in defenders Jan Bednarek andYan Valery, but Saints have no interest in selling centre-back Mohamed Salisu.
