Apple More Aggressively Pushing iOS 14 Users to Upgrade to iOS 15

The company has changed its policy and is now encouraging people who are still running the previous version of the operating system to update to the new version.

Apple promised to give security updates for those who chose to stick with the newer version of the software when it was launched.

There is a choice between two software update versions in the settings app. You can upgrade to the latest version of the software when it's released for the latest features and most complete set of security updates. If you're ready to upgrade to the next major version, you can continue on with the current version.

The Software Update section of the settings app is where the most important updates are, but when the first version of the software was released, it was a little forgotten.

Over the last few months, Apple's patience for those avoiding iOS 15 seems to have waned, and the company is now pushing users to update. The Software Update section on a device running the OS is no longer a place where you can find a note about the iOS 15 update.

There was a chance to stay on the platform and receive updates, but that option appears to have been eliminated with the launch of the new version of the software. The remain on iOS 14 option was not reintroduced in the latest version of the operating system, which seems to indicate that Apple is expecting people to upgrade.

In October, Apple released a new version of its mobile operating system, called iOS 14.8.1. On an older version of the software, the update is no longer available, and Apple only offers the newer version of the software.

The option to stay on iOS 14 will likely be removed, which will likely encourage people to upgrade. The adoption rate for previous versions of iOS has been higher, but the current version is installed on less devices.
