In November of 2020, Baby Shark became the most-viewed video on the platform, and just over a year later, it has become the first video on the site to reach 10 billion views.

At this point in time, "Baby Shark" is a cultural landmark. I remember singing it at summer camps when I was a kid, and it seems like I am not the only one who will never forget it. I have been tapping my foot to the beat in my head for the entire time I have been writing this post. The impact of the song goes beyond the earworm hit. Baby Shark NFTs is a show on Nickelodeon, as you may have feared, and there is also a Baby Shark movie.

If you want to know what the other top-viewed videos are, you can check out the list on Wikipedia. The second most-viewed film is Luis Fonsi's "Despacito," which held the crown before "Baby Shark" did, but it has a long way to go to try and catch the shark. I hope that mentioning another song will get you out of your head.
