Detroit Pistons void deal with Denver Nuggets for Bol Bol after failed physical

Play.

The best of Bol Bol so far.

Bol Bol's highlights from this season are here. The song is called "2:03."

Bol didn't pass his physical with the Pistons and that's why the deal between Denver and Detroit has been voided.

Detroit was sending McGruder and a second-round pick to Denver in exchange for Bol.

Bol has shown flashes of promise with Denver, but never found a home in the frontcourt. Detroit would have given Bol an opportunity to get more consistent minutes as it continues to gather up young talent as part of its rebuild.

Bol is a restricted free agent this summer.

The 7-foot-2 Bol was considered a top 10 draft prospect prior to the season at Oregon, but dropped to 44th overall on draft night in the season opener for Denver, and has only played in 14 games this season. Bol has shown flashes of offensive skill in his time with Denver and would have gotten a chance at increased minutes with Detroit.

Manute Bol was a popular 7-foot-7 player who played in the NBA for a decade.

The Denver Post reported that the deal was being voided.
