The Brooklyn Nets left no doubt about how good they can be when they play together, as they did in Wednesday night's victory over the Chicago Bulls.

"We're that good," Harden said, when asked if he was surprised at how quickly the trio's chemistry came together. We have a chance to be that good. We haven't had enough of it. We probably had 15 games last year, a little more, a little less. Only two this year. Y'all can see how great we can be, even though we haven't had much of a season. We're working on that. We need to get there.

Harden acknowledged that he isn't sure how much better the trio can be, but he is confident that they will get even better as the Nets work Irving back into the fold.

Harden said they just have to do it. It's been crazy since I've been here. We haven't had any consistency from last year to this year. We're killers. We attack. We're all on the same page. We like to make the right play. It won't take long. We have to be out there on the court.

The Nets had an 0-8 record against the top four teams in the Eastern and Western conferences. Their 39-19 run in the third quarter was the most runs they had scored in a quarter all season.

"You definitely want to play well against the best teams in the league," he said. We wanted to bounce back after the last game. It's good to come in here and get a W because fans are starting to understand that the Bulls are back.

Over the past few weeks, the Nets have struggled to get their defensive end locked in, which is something that has been an issue for the team. The Nets' confidence has been restored after they reversed course and allowed Irving to return to the team despite the fact he's not up to date with the vaccine. Despite the fact that he can't play in most road games because of New York City's vaccine mandate, Irving still believes that the Nets could still be a serious title contender.

Irving said that they had an unbelievable resolve. It gets dangerous for other teams or our opponent when we are in that flow.

Harden is still hopeful that Irving will be able to play in home games at some point in the season.

Harden said he was going to give him the shot.

Nets coach Steve Nash left the possibility that Kevin Durant and a few other veterans might sit Thursday night as the Nets complete their second back-to-back of the week against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Wednesday offered another glimpse of how great the Nets can be when their stars are on top of their game.

Nash said that the games can give a team confidence. "Give them something to build on, but it can't." It's in the bank. We've shown that we can do this, that we can bring the spirit and energy to the game. We have to build on it. We raised our level. We competed. We rose to the occasion, and now we move forward, and hopefully it is a moment in time that will help us get to another level.
