Inter Milan 2-1 Juventus (AET): Alexis Sanchez hits last-gasp winner in Italian Super Cup

Inter Milan won the Italian Super Cup with a 2-1 victory over bitter rival Bianconeri after extra-time on Wednesday, thanks to a last kick by Alexisnchez.

Almost every member of the Inter bench ran onto the field to embrace their teammate after he scored his goal.

The first piece of silverware of the season was decided in the first half when Lautaro Martinez converted a penalty to cancel out Weston McKennie's opener.

The Italian Super Cup has a record nine victories by defending champion Juventus. They qualified for the game as Italian Cup winners, not league winners, for the first time since 2012 after their run of nine successive league titles was ended by Inter.

The match was heading for penalties when Inter won. Alex Sandro tried to chest the ball to Chiellini but gave Matteo Darmian a chance to flick it on for the goal.
