Lindsey Graham says he won't back Mitch McConnell for Senate GOP leader if he doesn't have a 'working relationship' with Trump

Lindsey Graham said he will not back McConnell to lead the GOP if he doesn't have a working relationship with Donald Trump.
The Senate minority leader was slammed by Graham for his relationship with the former president.

The future is what elections are about. "If you want to be a Republican leader in the House or the Senate, you have to have a working relationship with President Donald Trump," said Graham.

He said that he thought Trump was the most consequential Republican since Ronald Reagan.
"If he wants it, he'll get reelected in 2024," Graham said.

Graham said he liked McConnell. Can Senator McConnell work with Donald Trump?
"I will not vote for anyone for leader of the Senate unless they can prove to me that they can advocate for an America First agenda and have a working relationship with President Trump," Graham said.

Trump has criticized McConnell on many occasions. McConnell was called a "loser" by Trump for defending Rounds.

McConnell told CNN that he thinks Rounds told the truth about the election. I agree with him.

In November, Trump slammed McConnell and the Republicans who voted for the infrastructure bill, calling them "RINOs" and saying they should be ashamed of themselves.

McConnell was given the nickname "Old Crow" by Trump, and he suggested the Kentucky senator should be put up with it.

McConnell said that he was proud of his vote for Biden's bill, and that it would be a "godsend" for his state.
