T.J. Watt is one of two players to have a single-season sack record.

There was some question as to whether he should be credited with another one on the play he knocked the ball loose from Huntley.

According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, the Steelers inquired about the play, but the Elias Sports Bureau only gave him credit for a tackle for loss and a forced turnover since Huntley had to go to the ground to cover up an error.

Watt said that there was a bad snap and that Tyler Huntley fell on it. I tackled him and got the ball out when he got up. He could have thrown the ball. My understanding was that it was a sack, but apparently it wasn't, at least according to the statisticians.

Watt missed two games with injuries and appeared in 15 games instead of the full 17 because of injuries, but he was able to at least tie Strahan in Week 18.

The Defensive Player of the Year candidate finished the regular season with 64 tackles, 22.5 sacks, seven passes defended, five forced turnovers and three fumbled balls while helping the Pittsburgh Steelers to the playoffs.

They will play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

In 2001, the Hall of Famer made history with 22.5 sacks to go with 73 tackles, six forced turnovers, two passes defended and one fumbled ball.

The record was controversial because the Green Bay Packers quarterback took a dive on the sack.

The official inquiry into Watt's sack isn't the first time there has been a question mark surrounding the record.
