Multipoint support on earbuds is one of the hallmarks of Jabra, but other brands are starting to add convenience to their buds. The latest is the addition of dual connection to the flagship OnePlus Buds Pro.
Once that update is installed, the Buds Pro will be able to connect to two devices at the same time, allowing you to switch between listening to music on your laptop and taking a call on your mobile phone.
Premium wireless headphones have this feature, but it's been a long time since it made it to earbuds. Multipoint was a big selling point for the Elite 65t, 75t, and 85t earbuds. Multipoint is offered by other companies, like Anker and JBL. The new earbuds from Jabra should be updated in the coming weeks to support multipoint. The feature is going to be introduced during the show.
Multipoint adds more value to the already excellent set of earbuds that feature good sound quality, impressive noise cancellation, and a very comfortable fit.
The company says that not everyone will get the update right away. The update will initially reach a small percentage of users, and then we will begin a broader roll out over the next few days, according to the forums. It is good to see that the dual connection feature works just as advertised, so it is good to see this convenient trick reaching more and more products.
