The highlights of Ohtani's season.

Ohtani had an amazing season at the plate and on the mound. Relive some of his highlights. The first part of the story is over.

Shohei Ohtani is the face of baseball.

The Angels' two-way star reflected on his historic season in an interview with the magazine. The Guinness World Records recognized Ohtani as the first MLB player to record more than 100 strikeouts and 100 runs as a pitcher and as a batter in a single season.

Ohtani said he was happy to hear about being the face of the sport. I came here to be the best player I can be. Hearing the face of baseball is welcoming to me, and it gives me more motivation because I've only had a really good year. It's only one year. It gives me more motivation to keep going.

Baseball is fading from America's national consciousness and becoming less relevant as a sport according to Ohtani.

Baseball was born here and I want it to be the most popular sport in the United States. I'm more than willing to help if I can. Only a few countries in the world are big on baseball, so it's not as big as soccer or basketball. It's huge in some countries.

Major League Baseball has taken steps to experiment with baseball's rules in recent years in an effort to speed up the game in America, but Ohtani said those changes aren't necessary.

Ohtani said he was satisfied with everything. No need to make drastic changes.
