Jean Ramirez, a relief catcher for theTampa BayRays, died unexpectedly this week. He was young.
There was no further information about his passing.
Kevin Cash said that he brought passion and energy to the team and his love for baseball was evident to everyone.
Jean will be missed.

Ramirez played catcher for 3 seasons in the team's minor league system after being picked by the Rays in the 28th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
Ramirez joined the big league club as a catcher in the middle of the season, and said his ultimate goal was to move up the ranks and one day manage a roster in The Show.
The president of baseball operations for the Rays said that he was a gift to all.
We are grateful for the time we shared with Jean as we grieve.
I am sad.
