Why did the Giants fire Joe Judge?

The New York Giants made the decision to fire Joe Judge after going through the details. The song is called "2:24."

We go round and round. Every two years, the New York Giants find themselves in the same spot as another head coach is fired.

Joe Judge was fired Tuesday after working with an insufficient roster. Dave Gettleman, the general manager who was responsible for the demise of Judge and his predecessor, Pat Shurmur, was allowed to retire a day earlier.

The Giants are stuck in a vicious cycle, with their past three coaches lasting two seasons or less, and co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch are responsible. There have been many mistakes and many losses left behind.

Over the past five seasons, the Giants have a 22-59 record. They just have to look into a mirror to see what a bad franchise looks like.

The 4-13 record prompted the firing. Judge went 6-10 in his first season as a head coach, but the team seemed to make significant gains and was praised by ownership. Judge talked about the progress made behind the scenes and 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266

There was a quick about-face after ownership disagreed.

Mara said before the season started that he wanted to feel good about the direction the team was headed. "Unfortunately, I can't make that statement, which is why we have made this decision."

Judge is to blame for his own demise. If the Giants had lost their way late in the season, he would still have a job. They couldn't score, they couldn't pass, and they couldn't even drop back to pass.

Judge made the organization a joke when he ran back-to-back quarterback sneaks this past Sunday in order to make more room to punt.

The Giants are now looking at the likes of the Jacksonville and Houston teams. It seems almost impossible to type that.
