There are many great moments in the history of the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.

The rivalry between these two teams used to be considered the gold standard of the NFL, with players like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders going head-to-head.

It may be an old history for current players.

The younger players of the 49ers don't understand the history of the rivalry, according to Kyle Shanahan. Some of the players were born in the 2000s. You would like to say that.
The Cowboys and 49ers played each other in three straightNFC Championship Games, with the winner going on to win the Superbowl in 1992.

Mike was the offensive coach for San Francisco during that time.

"That was a part of my childhood that was really cool, because everyone knew that three years in a row, the Super Bowl, the NFC Championship, and the Super Bowl, it was cool," he said.

Many of the current players will not remember, but they have an opportunity to shine in the next chapter of the rivalry.
