The Monday night premiere of the music video for the song "When I'm Gone" has an interesting appearance from the company that makes the Starship.
In the futuristic-themed video, the singer can be seen speaking on a payphone with someone before walking away towards a row of what appears to be a giant prototype spaceship with a Boston Dynamics dog in tow.
The ships were scaled down models of the craft, but they were definitely not the real deal. The full video is available below.
Stan andKaty are from the same area.
It is almost certain that the ships were modeled on the Starship. There is a history of being friendly between the two of them.
She has performed before a launch before, though that particular liftoff was scrubbed due to weather.
The shape of the models in the video were very similar to that of Starship. She was accompanied by a dog that was similar to the one that has been known to patrol its Texas launch facility.
It is interesting to see that the singer pays homage to the company, and that space exploration is going through a new golden age in pop culture right now.
There is more on Starship, including the tests of giant chopsticks for catching it.
