According to sources, Rob Sale is leaving the New York Giants to become the offensive line coach for the Florida Gators.

Sale is going back to the SEC and will be working with Billy Napier, who he worked with at Arizona State and Louisiana. Sale was the offensive line coach at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, where they set school records on the offensive side.

Dan Mullen was hired to be the new coach at Florida. He signed a seven-year deal and said he would hire an "unprecedented" support staff.

Sale fit into the plan. It was just a matter of being patient.

The Giants lost their sixth straight game this past Sunday to Washington.

Sale leaves at a time when there is uncertainty with the Giants. New York hasn't made it official that Joe Judge will return for a third season.

Sale just finished his first season in the National Football League. He dealt with a line that was devastated by injury.

Several weeks ago, Sale and Judge refused to answer questions about rumors of a possible move to Florida.

Sale was hired by the Giants to be their offensive line coach. They will be looking for a fifth line coach.

Sale was an offensive lineman at LSU from 1999 to 2002. He became a college coach for the first time when he was an analyst for Judge at Alabama. He was the offensive line coach at Arizona State, Louisiana Monroe, and Lafayette.

He was asked if there was a difference between college and professional players.

Sale said it was all ball in his opinion. It's important that the players invest in them as people. They all have the same issues, no matter what you do. All of us have the same deals. You have a year-round plan with these players, getting them better over and over again, and how you practice.

One you pick and one you don't.

He will have some work to do in Florida. The Gators finished with a 6-7 record and a 2-6 mark in the SEC.
