Britney Spears Fans Have A New Purpose: Freeing Nichelle Nichols From Her Conservatorship

The chants outside the downtown Los Angeles courthouse were familiar, but this time they weren't talking about Britney Spears.

"Free Nichelle!"

"Isolation is abuse!"

The conservatorship has to go!

A group of supporters of Britney Spears and fans of Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols marched around the Stanley Mosk Courthouse on Monday to raise awareness about the actor's situation. They believe that another abusive conservatorship has allowed her son, Kyle Johnson, to take control of her life and finances and decide who she sees and where she lives.

"We're going to do whatever we can to shed light on the issue and to make sure that there's lasting change for not just Britney, but everyone who is trapped in this corrupt system," Kevin said.

Johnson claimed in his original petition to place her under the court's supervision that she is susceptible to exploitation because of her dementia, a condition that has made her vulnerable to exploitation. A friend of Johnson's, a producer and actor, has argued that Johnson is not acting in her best interests because she doesn't want her affairs to be managed by an assistant.

Instead, Johnson moved his mother out of her home, sold her property, and isolated her from her friends. "You can't come and take people's home and money and just say, 'Hey, it's mine'." "Sorry, you're old, you're almost dead, so I'm taking this." There are amazing old people doing things. They're living the life until their last drop, that's what I'm fighting for.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge overruled her objections to Johnson's final accounting report, which is now under the jurisdiction of a New Mexico court.

Fawcette and her attorney tried to argue that Johnson failed to declare the home and property as assets of the estate and that the necessary evidence was not provided. They asked for time to conduct discovery to investigate their concerns that Johnson may be misappropriating his mother's assets.

Jeffrey Marvan argued that the objection regarding the sale of the home should be raised in New Mexico and that Johnson acted appropriately.

Marvan told the court that he was the only son and child. The conservatee's family supports everything that my client is doing.

Johnson's attorney did not reply to a request for comment.

Speaking to her supporters outside the courthouse, she vowed to continue fighting for her friend.

She said she would be damned if this was her last stand for her friend. Whether you are white, black, Latino, Asian, American Indian, Persian, you have roots in the soil. You have a right to stand up for yourself and you have a right to stand up for your family and friends.

She was one of the only people that Justo could look up to as a kid. She made it cool to be smart. She made it cool to be strong and also to be a woman of color, and she was one of the only characters that wasn't like a slave or a maid. That means a lot.

According to a report by a website, Justo didn't think it was fair for Nichols to be placed in a system in which people lose their rights and are exposed to death.

Justo said, "whether you're emotionally invested or not, you should give a shit." "Nichelle is awesome, so you should give her a bad name."
