Alabama is the team to beat next season despite Monday's College Football Playoff National Championship loss to Georgia.

Alabama is the favorite to win the national championship at 5-2, followed by Georgia at 9-2 and Ohio State at 7-1.

The odds were against the Alabama team before they lost to Georgia in the title game. Even though Alabama lost to the Georgia, it was still the favorite for next season.

Georgia won the national championship in September after being behind Alabama at 15-2 at the start of the season. After a loss to Alabama in the SEC championship, the Bulldogs moved into the role of favorite and beat the Tide in the title game. It's the first national championship for the team in 30 years.

At Caesars Sportsbook, Oklahoma and Michigan are both 15-1 to win the national title.

There will be a lot of hype for Southern Cal. The USC opened at 20-1 to win the national championship. USC's 20-1 odds are indicative of the chance that quarterback Caleb Williams could join his former coach at Oklahoma, Lincoln Riley, in Los Angeles, according to Adam Pullen, assistant director of trading for Caesars Sportsbook.

The Trojans finished with four wins last season.

Pullen said that some people might say their odds are too low. Lincoln Riley is one of the coaches that made huge differences right away.
