Five college graduates have sued 16 U.S. universities, accusing them of colluding to limit financial aid to undergrad students in violation of antitrust laws. The class-action status is being sought because of the fact that the collusion has caused 170,000 financial aid recipients to be overcharged hundreds of millions of dollars. The 16 schools are members of the 568 Presidents Group, a group of colleges that discuss common financial aid principles.
