Southern California climbed to its highest ranking in nearly five decades, while the unanimous No. 1 team in the Associated Press men's college basketball poll was Baylor.

The Bears received all 61 first-place votes in Monday's poll for the fourth time in five weeks. Last year's title run in the Indianapolis bubble has seen the Bears win 21 games in a row.

The top five were: USC, UCLA, UCLA, and USC. The Tigers and the Trojans both moved up five spots and hit their highest rankings in over 40 years.

The same top 10 teams from last week were rounded out by Arizona, Purdue, Duke, Kansas, and Michigan State.

The 13th ranked Wisconsin jumped 10 spots in this week's poll after beating three Big Ten teams. LSU moved up nine spots after winning against Kentucky and Tennessee.

The biggest fall of the 10 teams that fell in Monday's poll was by Alabama, which lost to a Missouri team that was 6-7 entering the game. Texas and Providence each fell seven spots.

Illinois fell out before the end of November after opening the year at 11. There were no new teams in the AP Top 25 for the past two weeks.
