Premier League Covid-19 cases decrease for second successive week

The season will be delayed 19 times for reasons related to the swine flu.

Positive Covid-19 tests have fallen for the second week in a row.

There were 72 new positive cases in the seven days up to and including 9 January.

There were 94 new cases in the previous seven days.

It was the first time that a decrease in cases had been recorded by the league.

The home match between the two teams has been postponed because the Foxes do not have enough players.

The 19th top-flight game off this season is related to the Pandemic.

The FA Cup third-round ties were missed by Manchester City manager and Burnley boss Sean Dyche because they were both found to have the virus.

City said last week that there were 21 people at the club who were isolated because of Covid.
