John Collins has become increasingly frustrated with his role on the team.
Collins has been vocal in the locker room about the lack of team basketball.

I've banged my head on the wall trying to figure it out. Collins said there was no excuse for the Hawks' defensive struggles after Atlanta lost to the Lakers. "We have to dig down and do the things necessary to win or this is going to be the result every night."

Collins is currently averaging 17 points and 7.9 rebound per game this season. Despite shooting a career-high 42.7 percent from three-point range, his per-minute usage has dipped for the third straight season.

The Hawks are one of the NBA's biggest disappointments after their run to the Eastern Conference Finals. Collins signed a five-year, $125 million contract with Atlanta. The Hawks focused on retaining their core this summer to build a young power, despite the fact that Collins hasn't reached All-Star status.

Collins could be a prime trade candidate because of his disgruntlement with his role. Ben Simmons is yet to play this season after falling out with the organization, and the Hawks are a possible fit for him.

Collins isn't a great fit for the 76ers, but his cap hold could be flipped to a third team as part of a larger deal that nets Philadelphia the star it desires in return for Simmons.
