Apple's supply chain is finally recovering from shortages as it prepares for a slate of new product launches in 2022, according to a report.
Demand for the latest iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro models will keep Apple's supply chain partners in high gear through February 2022, according to a report. Logistical difficulties and component shortages hampered Apple's ability to meet demand for the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro. Apple reallocated iPad components to be used in the iPhone because of component shortages that were said to be so severe.
During November and December, Apple's suppliers were able to overcome the shortages and resume normal shipments. Sources say that Apple's supply-side constraints will recover in the first-half of 2022.
Apple has started volume shipments of the MacBook Pro, iPad mini, and ninth-generation iPad. There are no signs that Apple will decrease its component orders for new devices in the year 2022, which is good news for the company.
The third-generation iPhone SE is expected to be released in the first half of this year, which is believed to assist suppliers in sustaining shipment momentum through to other product launches. Apple's PCB suppliers, as well as the iPhone assemblers, are moving to replenish their workforces to fulfill the orders.
This year, the company is expected to announce five new Macs, three new Apple Watches, and a mixed-reality headset. The What to Expect guide and The MacRumors Show podcast give a detailed overview of everything that will be announced by Apple in the years to come.
