Miami Dolphins fire coach Brian Flores after three seasons

The Miami Dolphins have fired Brian Flores.

Chris Grier will remain with the team as general manager, according to Jeff Darlington.

According to sources, the Dolphins are not targeting Harbaugh, despite rumors that Stephen Ross was interested in hiring him.

Ross said in a statement that he decided to part ways with Brian Flores. "After evaluating where we are as an organization and what we need to improve, I decided that key dynamics of our football organization weren't functioning at a level I want it to be and felt that this decision was in the best interest of the Miami Dolphins." We have a talented young roster in place and have the chance to be better in the future. I wish Brian the best in his future and thank him for his hard work.

The Dolphins did not make the playoffs after recovering from a 1-7 start.

Flores was the team's coach for three seasons.

He was hired by the Dolphins after spending 11 seasons on the New England staff.
