We think Apple's MacBook Air M1 is the best in the company's lineup for most people, but there are some who will want a beefier machine. The MacBook Pro M1 is available from Amazon for less than usual. The 13-inch laptop with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is currently discounted by $150. The silver version is $100 off and the space gray version is still $1,199.

The 2020 model is not the 2021 MacBook Pro, which has an updated design with more ports and higher-end M1 Pro or M1 Max chips. The 2020 model has its merits. When we first reviewed it, it earned a score of 84 because of its fast performance, good display, comfortable keyboard and trackpad, and long battery life. The Pro has a fan inside, which makes it better suited for sustained workload.
The Pro M1 has a few drawbacks, including its lack of external graphics support and only one external display. The port selection is lacking when compared to the 2021 models. The 2020 laptop only has four ports, whereas the newer machine has more than one. The 2020 MacBook Pro is on sale for $1,999, so it's a good option for those who want an upgraded laptop but don't want the extra ports.
