He studied at Temple University. Despite his raunchy standup routines, Bob Saget became a household name as the full-hearted and cleaning-obsessed Tanner on Full House. After the show ended in 1995, the gang continued to warm the hearts of generations through reruns. From 1989 to 1997 he hosted America's Funniest Home Videos. The cast of the original Full House, except for Mary Kate and the Olsens, came together for a new show on the streaming service. In addition to his comedy tours, he hosted a show called "Here For You" in which he interviewed his friends, fellow comedians and "really interesting people."

Stamos said he loved Bobby and that he would sail on his friend Bob. Bob Saget was a lovely man. He was hilarious. We were close friends and I loved him more. Still in shock. Gilbert Gottfried wrote that he spoke with Bob a few days ago. We stayed on the phone and made each other laugh. Bob Saget was a friend.
