
The Indy Autonomous Challenge was held at the end of the annual technology conference.
Five teams from seven universities raced self-driving cars for the first place title and $150,000 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The final head-to-head race was between Team TUM and Team PoliMOVE from Italy and the University of Alabama.
Team TUM spun out at the end of the race. TUM couldn't keep up with the record speed of PoliMOVE.
The original race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was won by TUM.
At the October race, every team competed with the same car, with top-of-the-line sensor equipment, including a LiDAR from sensor maker Luminar.
