Send in the clowns: Some Jacksonville Jaguars fans dressed to show displeasure with owner Shad Khan

The Jacksonville Jags.

Choose a team from the National Football League. Choose a team from the National Football League.

John Caputo, the president of the Jaguars fan club, said he didn't know what the expectation was. One thing to change is another thing to show up in clown gear.

Some people are angry. I'm not happy. This is what we do. We are invested in making fun of ourselves and our team.

The clown movement began after Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Khan had decided to retain Baalke and have him assist in the search for a new head coach. Stephen Solliday thought it would be funny to ask people on social media if they had a mustache, after he noticed that Joshua Ford had added a mustache to the clown emoji.

The #FireBaalke was used as well. Fans flooded the team's live internet broadcasts of interviews with coaches and players, as well as the team's weekly internet shows, with both clown and #FireBaalke.

A small group of people were talking about wearing clown attire to the game.

The largest concentration of fans in garb was at the tailgate spot, which is roughly half a mile from the stadium. One fan said he bought 120 clown noses and another 50, while several other fans were wearing face paint.

The Jacksonville Jaguars fan wore a paper bag with a picture of the owner's mustache and clown face.

The 10-year season-ticket holder went with a one-piece full-body clown suit and wig and hoped that Khan would get the message that the fans were sending: They're angry, frustrated and hurting at the current state of the franchise.

Hundreds of fans are walking into the stadium in clown attire if he doesn't. That's not a good look for the franchise.

The clown movement is not directed at the players. It's only about Khan's decision-making and the retention of Baalke, who joined the franchise in February 2020 as the director of player personnel and was promoted to GM after Khan hired Meyer in January 2021.

Solliday said that they couldn't agree on what they had for breakfast. We agree that the team's first-round pick in 2011 and the team's general manager should be fired.

The clown movement gained a lot of national publicity, despite not having as large of a turnout as it seemed it would on social media. Eric Dillard said he considers it a success because of the attention and the spread on social media.

The final game of another miserable season was a little more enjoyable because of that and the Jags' upset of the Colts.

If Khan fires Baalke, this will go down in sports history as one of the greatest fires in sports history.

The most successful clown show.
