Edouard Mendy: Chelsea goalkeeper to miss Senegal's opening AFCON match after testing positive for COVID-19

Mendy will not play in the opening Africa Cup of Nations match against Zimbabwe on Monday after testing positive for coronaviruses.

Mendy is the third player to test positive for COVID-19 and will be out for the group opener.

It leaves the tournament favorites with a threadbare squad for the match in Bafoussam after six players.
